it also says something about woman. if he was that kind of an asshole, why did he drown in ass and pussy? And why don't the "good men" drown?
I find what you are saying is twisting everything around. Like is saying what? "We live in society?"
This isn't exploration on how he was a bad person and the 'whores' were actually good, but how he actively chooses to be flawed/bad and have audacity to romantize how he (and others) should be sorry for him and how he absolves himself from any wrong doing by transposing fault onto 'whores'. Last screen in my post describes this perfectly.
Obviously Bukowski had deeper problems that revealed themselves as his behaviour towards women and relationships, so to battle that he had to first acknowledge what is happening and then actively choose to work on it (go to therapy). And while it's too late for him, this post isn't dedicated to Bukowski himself but to those people that love to romantize his work and with that the toxic behavior and flawed worldview that stems from his writing.
Especially I dedicate this to those that choose this as their base of how to view the world and people in it. Wtf.
i was simply asking how a man that "choose" that bad path comes to have so many woman in his live, while other men,who did not choose the wrong path, don't find a single one. in short, what was it that made him so attractive to women when he was that kind of an asshole? did he hide it in the beginning?
If someone can't find a single person that find them attractive and happy to hang out with, then they need to take a good look into themselves and their "not choosing the wrong path". There is more than one bad path to choose and 'white knighting' for example is as toxic and similar to open misogyny.
Rule of thumb is that if the only similar thing between all the instances is you, whenever it's finding their partners to be bad or not having them, then you have to look into yourself.
"If someone can't find a single person that find them attractive and happy to hang out with, then they need to take a good look into themselves and their "not choosing the wrong path"" thats all i needed to hear. no further questions.
Look at themselves*
And no, 'all women' is too general to be factor in those instances. People are spectrum and there isn't 0-1 system you can use to 'win the game'. But if you believe that, you will only find people in your life that subscribe to this idea. Because others will find you insufferable to even hang out with. So I think Bukowski was really efficient at driving 'good' (whatever it means in that context) people from his life with his behaviour.
Sorry for removing comment and reposting it after your answered. I found errors in what I wrote before and wanted to edit it quickly. Edit function wouls be best.
Glad it helped, I just hope you didn't get idea from what you cited that solution is to subscribe to 'wrong path' instead.
Cheers
